Life can sometimes be overwhelming, traumatic events can happen, old memories can weigh heavy and emotional distress can impact individuals in different ways. For adults, emotional or behavioral problems can affect careers, marriages, families and social relationships, and for children and teens, these same problems can impact performance in school as well as friendships and family relationships.
Gulfport Behavioral Health System has offered evidence based compassionate behavioral health treatment to the Mississippi Gulf Coast for more than 40 years. Our inpatient behavioral health programs help adults, adolescents, pre-adolescents and children (as young as 4) work through emotional or mental health issues and co-occurring addictions to achieve lives of mental wellness. Our inpatient programs provide 24-hour short-term (generally 5 to 7 days) intensive care in a secure, caring and therapeutic environment.
Some of the emotional or mental health issues we treat include anxiety disorders, depression, suicidal ideations, actions that harm self or other, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, dual diagnosis and more. Inpatient program graduates can step down to a less intensive outpatient program to maintain stability and reduce the risk of re-hospitalization.
If you or someone you love is struggling with anxiety disorders, depression, suicidal ideations, actions that harm self or other, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, dual diagnosis and mental, behavioral or addictive conditions you do not have to face it alone. Gulfport Behavioral Health System provides inpatient and outpatient treatment options to help you develop HOPE for the future and to live a more fulfilling life. We are dedicated to helping patients develop the skills necessary to live that life of long-term recovery and health.
Our programs provide individual and group therapy that meet the specialized needs of each person. Counselors work with you and your loved ones to create an environment of understanding and compassion to promote healing and growth.
